The wooden gate is open to welcome visitors, and from here starts a short walk to the vineyard, just a few meters away, framed between the winery, the dovecote and the parish church of Arganza. Here we make the formal presentations with the most important grape of Bierzo, Mencía, but also with Garnacha, which defends its colors, especially in autumn.
Back to the winery, we get into the winemaking process, visiting the barrel room and finally we get to the tasting room to taste PETIT PITTACUM, PITTACUM BARRICA and VAL DE LA LOBA, three very different expressions of Mencía, accompanied by an aperitif.

The winery is located in an old mansion whose last major renovation dates back to 1822, as confirmed by a detail carved in stone in the courtyard. Inside, the winery grows gradually, while welcoming wine tourists who come to discover the secrets of Mencia, the red variety par excellence of Bierzo, masterfully represented in Pittacum wines.
