From Wine to Vine / De la Vid al Vino completely changes the way of understanding and enjoying a winery and its wines. It is not just a pleasant visit or a complete wine tourism experience; it is above all a sensory and cognitive immersion in this wonderful world that still has so much to offer and connect. During three thrilling hours at Pago de los Capellanes, the visitor is immersed in the mysteries of wine, discovering the secrets of the vineyard and the winery and unveiling the essence of an activity full of emotions. On the one hand, the soils, the challenges of the climate, the milestones of the altitude and the life of the vines. On the other, the rhythms of the winery, the keys to winemaking, the mastery of time, the search for style… Everything we have always wondered about the link between land and winery, finally within reach of our knowledge and enjoyment. And with several highlights dedicated to understanding and savoring all the depth and magic of the red wines of Pago de los Capellanes in Ribera del Duero and our other oenological jewel: the white wines of O Luar do Sil, our winery in Valdeorras.

FROM VINE TO WINE?
In the twentieth century, we find Doroteo Rodero tilling the vineyard, helped by his son Paco.
With the aim of continuing the legacy received, Paco Rodero and his wife Conchita Villa recovered the family vineyard and expanded it with nearby plots of old vines. In 1996, after almost two decades dedicated to viticulture, the Rodero Villa couple founded the Pago de los Capellanes winery, with the illusion of maintaining the connection with the land and traditional knowledge.
Its most recent project takes us to the highlands of the southern end of Ribera del Duero. On the slopes of Fuentenebro, Pardilla and Honrubia, we take care of historic vineyards at an altitude of over 1,000 meters. The red soils, with a marked mineral character, together with the special climatic and environmental conditions of these borderline sites, offer a fresh, lively and subtle identity.
The result is Un Sueño en las Alturas, a wine that completes the Pago de los Capellanes family, bringing a singular energy, daughter of the mountain, the junipers, the sky and the viticulture of always.
