How to get there

For more than a century, Santa Catalina, a Royal Hideaway Hotel, 5-star Grand Luxury, has been witness to the history of the island of Gran Canaria, known for its paradisiacal beaches, volcanic landscapes and rich culture. Since its inauguration in 1890, this hotel has been a point of reference in the social and cultural life of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, where some of the most important personalities of the 20th and 21st centuries have passed through: from Maria Callas to Ava Gardner, passing through Gregory Peck or Agatha Christie. Today, some of the main cultural events of the island are still held inside.

Reopened in 2019 by the Barceló Hotel Group, after a careful refurbishment, the oldest hotel in the archipelago has written much of the capital's tourist history within its walls. With a privileged location in the illustrious neighborhood of Ciudad Jardín, next to the lush Doramas Park and close to Las Canteras Beach, its interior inspires in every corner.
