Cinco Jotas Experience
Surrounded by oaks and cork oaks, we will enjoy the company of our 100% Iberian pigs, a native animal whose life cycle, shaped over thousands of years by the circumstances it inhabits, is essential to understand the characteristics of the product. We will learn to distinguish its physical characteristics and to understand the nature of its genetics.
Back in Jabugo, already in our facilities and after a small snack, we will enter the old “Patio Secadero”, an area that once housed much of the production process.
In the “Casa del Guardés” we will go through the history of the company, which dates back to 1879, and we will learn about the elaboration process from the hand of our masters. Shaping, salting, drying, curing and coving are some of the trades that have been passed down from generation to generation, thus preserving the essence of the product.
Finally, after a brief interactive contest, we will enjoy the last link in the chain, the cutting of the piece. This is essential to enjoy the full range of Cinco Jotas 100% Iberian acorn-fed ham during the tasting.
