Beer ecotour

OUR Gastronomy
MEGA
Enjoy the incomparable landscapes and nature of Galicia in a very meiga and very MEGA route where we will visit the places where the raw materials that are used to produce the Galician beers par excellence are born, the ones that come out of the Hijos de Rivera brewery in A Coruña.

Along the route of this EcoBrewing Tour we will combine nature, gastronomy, beer culture and also a lot of fun in an environmentally sustainable way. The raw materials are what give this beer its unique flavor and character and during this Beer Ecotour we will understand why.

We will learn about the cultivation of hops in the north of the province of Coruña and we will also discover one of the best kept secrets of Estrella Galicia beers: the origin of the water used to produce it, in the Cecebre reservoir.
But this experience is not only about discovery, but also about gastronomic delight. At lunchtime we will taste a Biosphere Menu made with local, seasonal and proximity products. And all this with an incredible pairing of Estrella Galicia beers.

The day ends at MEGA, the Estrella Galicia Museum, a space of more than 2,500 m² with interactive resources where you can discover everything and more about beer culture.

In small groups, for a maximum of 16 people, we will learn the secrets of the production and tasting of Estrella Galicia beers in this Brewery Ecotour through the Biosphere Reserve “Mariñas Coruñesas e Terras do Mandeo”. This Brewery Ecotour is a new sustainable ecotourism experience, unique in Spain, created by Estrella Galicia’s MEGA Museum and the Mariñas Coruñesas Biosphere Reserve. A new experience around the world of beer that you can live with Rutas Meigas.

MEGA- Estrella Galicia World
C/ José María Rivera Corral, 6 15011 A Coruña, A Coruña (La Coruña)

MEGA - Mundo Estrella Galicia is a museum and exhibition space with an experiential and informative character that not only addresses content related to the company and its history, but also brings visitors closer to the world of beer in general, organizing events that relate beer to different disciplines. It offers a personalized experience to the user, allowing them to interact with different elements and obtain information based on their own interests.

The museum was born with the intention of encapsulating the former Cooking Hall, which was in operation from 1972 to 2012.

The exhibition tour is distributed over 3 floors, with a total of 8 sectors. The tour follows the same order as the brewing process: Origins, Raw Materials, Brewing, Packaging, Beers and Distribution, Advertising and Sponsorship, Tasting and Store.
